Volleyball
Emerald Youth serves athletes who live in neighborhoods in the heart of the city including Five Points, Burlington, Mechanicsville, Lonsdale, Whittle Springs, Oakwood-Lincoln Park, Vestal, and Woodlawn. Space for athletes in other areas is very limited.
Overview
Volleyball is one of Emerald Youth's fastest-growing sports for girls and young women. Young ladies from Knoxville's city neighborhoods participate in our Emerald Force Volleyball Club, which is comprised of a recreational league for middle and high school girls, and competitive club teams. Additionally, some school-specific teams are sponsored by Emerald Youth.
Online preregistration is required for all volleyball events. Once registration links and specific season dates are available, details will be posted. Be sure to check back for updates!

Clinics/Camps
We offer a series of clinics and camps each June for rising 5th - 12th graders to learn the basics of volleyball or take their game to the next level (i.e., skills and gameplay).
Details regarding our 2027 Camps and Clinics will be posted here once they become available. Please check back periodically for updates.

Recreational
Emerald Force Volleyball's Recreational League is a fall league for 5th - 12th grade girls learning the sport.

(Registration will close once full capacity is reached. If more capacity becomes available, then registration will open again, and close once capacity is reached. There will be no waitlist period for Rec League.)

$35 per player
Results:
Results from evaluations will be live on our volleyball website on or before October 6.
A completed online pre-registration is required for participation! Spots are limited! Registration isn’t completed unless you receive a confirmation email.
Evaluations and all future Rec Volleyball practices are CLOSED to spectators.

Middle School
Each fall, Emerald Youth hosts a volleyball league with varsity and junior varsity teams from city middle schools. This league serves students at Whittle Springs, Vine, South-Doyle, Holston, Gresham, Northwest, and Emerald Academy.

Club/Competitive
Our club volleyball program is our most competitive season, designed for our more advanced athletes. We offer girls teams (12U through 18U), with all practices held at the Haslam-Sansom Ministry Complex. We compete in two-day (Saturday–Sunday) tournaments throughout the area at locations such as Rocky Top Sports World, Morristown Landing, the Sevierville Convention Center, and more.

Tryout Schedule:

12U–13U: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
14U–15U: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
16U–18U: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Athletes should plan to attend both tryout days. The same schedule will take place each day.

Please review the USAV Age Chart to ensure your athlete attends the correct tryout based on their USAV age.

If selected for a team, practices will take place on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday evenings between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. All practices will be held at the Haslam-Sansom Ministry Complex. Tournament weekends are held in a Saturday–Sunday format at local venues such as Rocky Top Sports World, the Sevierville Convention Center, and more.
Cost:
There is no cost to try out. If selected for a team, athletes will be invoiced a $105 participation fee at a later date.
Results:
Results will be posted on our website on or before November 23, 2026.
