Volunteer Opportunities

Urban Youth Ministry - JustLead

Emerald Youth is seeking adults who can serve as tutors for elementary and middle school students; provide homework help to elementary students during the school year; and/or lead a small group or worship time.

Calling & Career Ministry

Volunteers are needed to serve our teens and young adults through tutoring, ACT preparation, and in other ways to help this age group successfully graduate from high school and pursue college and career opportunities.

Sports: Emerald Youth is interested in volunteers who are willing to support our sports programs. Roles include coaching, keeping score, and helping to manage concessions, among other opportunities. We're also always seeking volunteers to serve as FCA Character Coaches for our teams.

If your organization or group is looking for ways to serve Emerald Youth Foundation, please contact Rachel at rdavis@emeraldyouth.org to see what projects might be available.

Due to the nature of Emerald Youth’s work, background checks are completed on all volunteers serving directly with youth.  If selected to volunteer with Emerald Youth Foundation, you will be asked to complete a confidential online authorization form.  Keep in mind that releasing your social security number is a required part of this authorization form. The submission of a background screening does not guarantee a volunteer position within Emerald Youth Foundation. Should you have any questions regarding the volunteer positions or screening process, please feel free to contact Kayleen Weaver at kweaver@emeraldyouth.org or 865.637.3227 ext 117.
