Susie Worley was born and raised in Knoxville, and has been a member of Emerald Avenue UMC her entire life, where she actively volunteers.

A graduate of Central High School, Susie attended Knoxville Business College and was employed by Skyline Transportation Co. for 27 years.

Because of her interest in young people of all ages, Susie made a career transition from the trucking business to serve with Emerald Youth Foundation in 1999. She first led Emerald Youth's middle school program, and since has served in various positions throughout the organization.

Susie currently works in a support role, helping ensure all Emerald Youth programs run effectively. She also spends many hours "in the water" assisting with Emerald's Learn to Swim program in east Knoxville at the E.V. Davidson Community Center indoor pool. Susie hopes and prays she has helped children recognize and follow the plans God has for them.

She is the mother of Donnie and Andy Worley, and the grandmother of four brilliant grandchildren Sydney, Destiny, Hannah and Ian.
