Born and raised in Knoxville, Kyra is deeply rooted in the community she now serves. A proud graduate of West High School, she went on to earn her degree in Bible and Theology and Sports Management from Johnson University, where she also played collegiate basketball.

Kyra’s connection to Emerald Youth runs deep—she was once a young person impacted by Emerald’s programs and now returns to invest in the next generation. Her desire to work with Emerald comes from a heart to serve inner-city youth and a strong belief in the power of faith-based mentorship. She believes the most important thing to give the youth is the Gospel. She previously worked four summers at Western Heights Baptist Center, where she led summer programs, and also spent time working in retail at Footlocker during college.

Outside of work, Kyra enjoys playing basketball, spending time with friends, and watching romantic comedies. She attends Redemption Church and is passionate about helping young people come to know Christ. Her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:11–13, reminds her that in every season—through the highs and lows—Christ is with her.

A big UT fan and proud sister to three siblings, Kyra brings heart, experience, and purpose to her role at Emerald Youth.
