Emerald Youth serves athletes who live in neighborhoods in the heart of the city including Five Points, Burlington, Mechanicsville, Lonsdale, Whittle Springs, Oakwood-Lincoln Park, Vestal, and Woodlawn. Space for athletes in other areas is very limited.
Overview
Our girls middle school flag football program is designed to give students an exciting opportunity to stay active, build friendships, and develop teamwork and leadership skills in a fun and supportive environment. Open to players of all experience levels, with a desire to learn about fundamentals, sportsmanship, and confidence both on and off the field.

2026 Season:
Ages: Rising 6th – Rising 9th Grade Girls
Cost: $35 (Includes: Team Jersey)
Season Runs: June 25 - July 30
Practice Session Details:
All sessions will be held @ Sansom Sports Complex (234 Dale Ave, Knoxville TN 37917)
90 minute sessions
5:30-7:00 PM
First session begins on July 7
2 sessions per week
Sessions will be Tuesdays & Thursdays
Week 1: Learn the Basics
Week 2: Building Football I.Q
Week 3: Team Play & Competitions
Week 4: League Play

The Academy league is intended for players from these city neighborhoods and/or children who attend Knoxville's city/urban schools.
