Rachel Shipman is a Knoxville native who is passionate about serving city children.

As a graduate of Central High School and Pellissippi State, she went on to earn her bachelor’s in social work from the University of Tennessee.

Prior to joining Emerald Youth full-time, Rachel interned in Emerald’s after-school program and worked in the nursery at Fountain City United Methodist Church. She loves spending time with her parents and two older sisters, as well as hanging out with friends.

Fun fact – Rachel knows American Sign Language!
