Sanford Miller joined Emerald Youth Foundation's development team in 2017, returning to the organization where his career began.
He first worked at Emerald Youth more than a decade ago, where the former University of Tennessee football player used his skills and passion for athletics to lead Emerald's sports programs. Sanford then pursued a career in financial services with Home Federal Bank, Primerica and most recently Fifth Third Bank.
A native of east Knoxville, he benefitted from youth-serving organizations like Emerald Youth during his childhood, and Sanford considers his position a way to give back to kids in the heart of Knoxville in a unique way.
He is a graduate of South-Doyle High School, attended the University of Tennessee, and received his bachelor's degree from Tusculum College. Sanford devotes many volunteer hours coaching youth sports, serving with United Way of Greater Knoxville, and on Tusculum College's Presidential Advisory Committee. He was honored as a member of the Greater Knoxville Business Journal's "40 Under 40" Class of 2016.
Sanford is married to wife Shay and they have two sons, Tyson and Zane.
