Adelmo "Junior" Santos was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When he has five, he moved to Salvador-Bahia. Growing up in Brazil it is almost impossible not to play soccer! Junior has played for many teams, but most of his time was spent playing with Vitoria as a youth and Vitoria da Conquista as a professional.
In the spring 2001, Junior moved to Miami, Florida. He met his wife, Gisele, in 2004 and they moved to Tennessee. He is a family guy and loves spending time with his two children, Leo and Giulia, and his boxer, Pelé.
Junior has been coaching in the area for over twelve years. He is great with kids of all ages and feels blessed that God has led him to Emerald Youth where he can share his excitement and passion for the jogo bonito - the beautiful game. In his free time, he enjoys watching soccer, spending time with friends and family and eating seafood.
