Emerald Youth Launches "Rise Up: For Every Child" Campaign

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Emerald Youth Foundation invites the public to participate in its “Rise Up: For Every Child” prayer and fundraising campaign, May 7-14.

With increased violence, economic disparities, and young people falling further behind academically, Emerald Youth encourages the greater Knoxville community to rise up to help ensure every child – in every neighborhood – has the opportunity for a full life.

Emerald Youth is a 30-year-old Christian nonprofit that focuses on youth development. Nearly 3,000 children, teens, young adults and their families are served annually through Emerald’s faith, learning and health programs.

“The community’s support of our Rise Up campaign is so important and will help ensure we can continue to serve youth throughout the city this year,” said Haylee Marshall, Emerald Youth vice president of advancement. “Whether in East or South Knoxville, Mechanicsville, Lonsdale or other city neighborhoods, we are committed to helping raise up promising, Godly leaders in our city.”

There are three ways to help:

  • Commit to pray for young people in the city.

  • Sign up to be a fundraiser and help spread the word to family and friends, asking them to give and pray for city youth.

  • Give online or mail donations to Emerald Youth Foundation, 1014 Heiskell Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921.
