Jovette Johnson was born and raised in Knoxville and is the proud mother of twin daughters, Delandra and Jordan.

For more than a decade, Jovette has been on staff with Emerald Youth Foundation. She first began serving as an AmeriCorps member and then worked in a number of roles over the years, eventually focusing on ministry in the Western Heights neighborhood at Emerald Youth's Virginia Avenue Ministry and now at North Knoxville Baptist Church. She is dedicated to mentoring and building lasting relationships with kids and families of the community she serves.

In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, cooking and reading.
