Opportunities to serve in volunteer positions include:
Tutoring Pool – Use your knowledge and skills to tutor elementary through high school age youth who need academic assistance in various subjects (math, reading, history, science, etc.).
Coaching Staff and Support Team – Coaches and assistant coaches are needed for wrestling, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, swimming and soccer. Support team members help keep score, run the game clock, and help out in other ways.
Small Group Facilitators – Lead our inter-generational JustLead Bible studies. These small groups meet weekly and use our original JustLead Bible curriculum that covers numerous topics and stories throughout the year.
Meal Team – It doesn’t matter if you can only make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches…or you’ve had your own show on The Food Network…you can help in the kitchen! Prepare and serve snacks and meals to our JustLead youth.
Transportation Team – Provide transportation to and from various locations and events for our youth by driving the vehicles in our JustLead fleet. All ministry drivers receive training. A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred as a prerequisite for these positions.
Administrative Team – If you excel in organizational skills or simply enjoy office work, this is for you. Volunteers assist with filing, large print jobs, bulk mailings, and “thank you” phone calls to JustLead donors.
Maintenance Team – We’re blessed to have our own “MacGyver” on staff, but even he can’t do it all! Your assistance will come in handy for landscaping, facility maintenance, vehicle upkeep, and general fix-it projects.
Production Team – Emerald Youth Foundation and JustLead host three annual fund-raisers and other smaller events that require a variety of production support. Activities include assisting our professional light, sound, and stage crews with set-up and tear-down, and planning and implementing event themes/decorations (among other activities where you can put your creative abilities to use!).
IT Team - We have computers, databases, networks, computer learning labs, and email accounts set up in churches across the city including the Emerald Youth Foundation building. As you might imagine, this requires a lot of upkeep, fixing, etc. If you are IT savvy, we’re sure there’s a place where your specific area of expertise can be utilized.
