Emerald Force Middle School Baseball League

Each spring, Emerald Youth partners with Emerald Academy, Gresham, Holston, Northwest, Vine, and Whittle Springs Middle Schools to offer the Emerald Force Baseball League.

The objective is to generate level competition so kids can feel more comfortable as they learn to compete in game situations.

The league is recreational, serving middle schools in the heart of Knoxville, with the purpose of developing baseball skills and fostering a love of the game among city youth that feed into our local high schools to revitalize baseball in the city. The season runs from March through May.

Travel

Travel ball is for competitive boys that are more advanced players from 7U - 13U age groups to compete against other local and out of state travel teams across the region. The travel season runs from March to October.

Clinics/Camps

We offer a series of clinics and camps throughout the year for youth to learn the basics of baseball or take their game to the next level.

The following are clinics we offer in the fall and winter months: Johnson University, Maryville College, Austin-East/Fulton/Central High School Clinic, and the University of Tennessee.

Events:

The Tennessee Smokies host an annual event called the “Smoky Mountain Rivalry.” The event is a baseball game/jamboree with a feature game between Austin-East Magnet High School and Fulton High School each April under the lights at Smokies Stadium.

The game is preceded with an Emerald Force Middle School Jamboree between city middle school teams from Emerald Academy, Holston, Vine, Northwest, Gresham and Whittle Springs.

The event is free admission and open to the public. The contest resembles a Tennessee Smokies game with team headshots, walk-up music, and in-between inning entertainment.
